The fourth edition of this school will take place in the lively and beautiful city of Nantes. Situated on the Loire River, close to the Atlantic coast, Nantes is a green wonder of western France. Birthplace of Jules Verne, it is France's sixth largest city and has a metropolitan area comprising some 900,000 inhabitants. Nantes is the capital city of the Pays de la Loire Region and Loire-Atlantique Department. It is also the major city of the historic province of Brittany, and culturally remains strongly identified with it. Blessed with eclectic scenery and architectural landmarks, a vibrant and varied cultural offering and an enviable living environment which won it the title of European Green Capital in 2013, Nantes is regularly cited among the top most liveable cities.
Nantes can be reached by TGV high-speed train from Paris center and Charles de Gaule airport in 2 hours. There are direct flights from all major cities in Europe.
The venue will be at the campus of Ecole Centrale de Nantes in building S, see the map here. The Ecole Centrale is easily reachable by tram from the city center.
